✂️ Little paper pieces, plenty of creative possibilities.

This printable cut-and-paste activity book gives children ages 4–6 24 supervised cutting and craft pages. Start with straight cuts, then try curves, broad zigzags, shape sorting, picture sequences and simple paper assembly. A4 and US Letter editions contain the same activities, designed for single-sided printing at Actual Size / 100%. An adult must supervise every cutting session.

📥 Digital download only. One customer ZIP contains both paper-size editions, a quick printing guide and the use licence. No physical workbook or craft supplies are included.

What can children explore?

  • 4 straight-cut pages: Explore wide strips, short snips, horizontal cuts and sloping paths. An adult can trim the practice area before the child follows the solid lines.
  • 4 curves and zigzag pages: Try gentle waves, broad arches, wide zigzags and mixed turns without tight intricate outlines.
  • 4 shape-sorting pages: Cut large shapes and dry-fit them on matching dotted targets before pasting.
  • 4 sequence-strip pages: Cut and arrange three-step picture cards. Adult example orders support discussion of growing, hatching, eating an apple and getting ready to go outside.
  • 4 build-a-picture pages: Assemble a sailboat, friendly cat, little rocket or paper flower from large pieces, then add drawn details.
  • 4 simple paper crafts: Make lift-the-flap scenes with a cut outline, dashed fold, hatched glue tab and a small completed example.

Clear cut, fold and paste markings

A solid black line means cut. A dashed line means fold. A dotted outline marks a paste target and should not be cut. Grey diagonal hatch marks identify the glue area. Shape pieces and their targets share the same dimensions in each native paper-size edition. Try the pieces without glue first, then paste. The fold-flap crafts show a completed example and use glue only on the marked tab.

Exactly what is included?

Each edition has 28 pages: 24 activity pages and 4 support pages. The A4 and US Letter editions contain the same content. Two paper sizes do not mean twice as many activities.

How to download, print and use it

  1. Download the customer ZIP.
  2. Extract the files before opening them.
  3. Choose the A4 or US Letter edition to match your paper.
  4. Print selected pages at Actual Size / 100%, one page per sheet.

You need a PDF reader, printer, paper, age-appropriate child-safe scissors, a glue stick, optional crayons, and an adult present throughout. Print a test page first, check the guides and page edges, then choose a short activity. The interiors use white backgrounds and black line art for low-ink printing.

There is no scored answer key. Sequence pages include adult example orders, and the paper crafts include small completed examples. Creative drawings and arrangements can vary.

Frequently asked questions

What age is this activity book for?

The intended age range is 4–6. Age is a guide, not an assessment. Review the real page previews, read instructions aloud when needed and choose a comfortable starting point.

How many activity pages are included?

There are 24 activity pages and 28 total pages in each edition. The total also includes 4 support pages: cover, adult guide, contents and optional certificate. Both paper sizes contain the same activities.

What files will I receive?

One customer ZIP with Book_A4.pdf, Book_US-Letter.pdf, START-HERE.pdf and Licence.txt. No physical book, editable source, Canva link or Word file is included.

Are answers included?

There is no scored answer key. Sequence pages include adult example orders, and the paper crafts include small completed examples. Creative drawings and arrangements can vary.

How do I print the book?

Download and extract the ZIP. Choose the PDF matching your paper size, select Actual Size / 100%, one page per sheet, and print a test page. Single-sided printing is recommended and is required for cutting pages.

Can I repeat a page or print selected activities?

Yes. Choose individual pages in your PDF reader and reprint within the included household or own-classroom licence. There is no need to finish the whole book in one session.

Can I use it in my classroom?

The included licence covers one household OR one teacher’s own classroom. Digital-file sharing, shared-drive uploads, use by other teachers, school-wide licensing and resale are not included.

Are the PDFs editable, fillable or interactive?

No. These are finished, flat printable PDFs intended for paper use. A PDF reader and printer are needed; no AI subscription or design app is required.

Does my child need to read independently?

No. An adult can read the short instructions aloud, name pictures and demonstrate a task. Keep sessions optional and child-paced.

Does my child need adult supervision?

Yes. An adult must be present throughout cutting, folding and gluing. Use age-appropriate child-safe scissors and keep small cut pieces away from younger children.

What do the different line styles mean?

Solid lines mean cut, dashed lines mean fold, dotted outlines are paste targets, and diagonal hatching marks glue areas. Do not cut the dotted targets.

Should I print on both sides?

Print single-sided at Actual Size / 100%, one page per sheet. Cutting a two-sided sheet would damage the activity on its reverse.

Are the pieces designed to match their targets?

Yes. Each large shape and its matching target use the same dimensions within the corresponding A4 or US Letter edition. Dry-fit pieces before gluing.
