A worked example: five fixes for a printable planner listing

The completed example reviews a fictional printable weekly planner listing. It identifies a page-count mismatch, an unclear contents preview, an incomplete setup path, incorrect download wording and a repetitive title. Five linked fixes show the observed issue, proposed change, priority, estimated time, owner and retest method. One fictional wording fix is implemented and verified through a text comparison; four tasks remain queued.

The scenario includes all 30 recorded observations and a six-page walkthrough. It is a training example, not a real shop audit or a tested Etsy purchase. The planner described in the scenario is not a separate sellable planner included in this kit.

How to use the Etsy digital listing audit checklist

1. Read the example and choose one existing listing and its actual delivery package.
2. Save the listing version, buyer task, file contents, tools and country or policy context.
3. Complete the 30 checks with a finding, evidence, location, reviewer and date.
4. Choose evidence-based fixes and assign priorities, owners, estimates and due dates.
5. Make the changes yourself and record implementation proof and dates.
6. Retest the changed elements, record results and keep a versioned handoff.

Track changes through to a recorded retest

Use the Etsy listing improvement planner to keep the original finding visible while work progresses. The task queue updates from your chosen priority, with equal priorities sorted by Action ID. Estimated minutes accept zero and flag missing or negative values. Duplicate IDs and missing references require correction.

Implemented status requires proof and an implementation date. A complete, dated Resolved retest is required before a fix counts as verified; Still needs work remains visible separately. The tracker reports the records you enter and does not infer that a listing will rank or convert better.

Tools, account requirements and limits

The editable sources are DOCX and XLSX, with A4 and US Letter PDF editions of the review workbook. Local LibreOffice Writer rendering and Calc recalculation were checked. Google Sheets Setup.pdf explains creating your own imported copy and comparing the example values. That route needs your own Google account and internet. No hosted Google Sheet is supplied. Native Sheets, retail Excel or Word, individual device workflows and an independent buyer handoff have not been verified.

No macros, paid add-ons, Canva or Notion links are required by the supplied files. This is a manual review workflow. It does not log into Etsy, scan a live listing, replace your files or publish changes. Official help references were checked on 21 October 2026; reopen current guidance before applying a platform-related change.
