🔢 Twenty numbers to meet, trace and count.
These numbers 1 to 20 printable worksheets give children ages 4–6 one dedicated page for every number, followed by count-and-match, number-order and quantity-comparison activities. The 32 activity pages use clearly separated counting boxes, dotted numeral practice and blank writing space. Adults can read instructions aloud and help children point to each object once.
📥 Digital download only. One customer ZIP contains both paper-size editions, a quick printing guide and the use licence. No physical workbook or craft supplies are included.
What can children explore?
- 20 dedicated number pages: Each number from 1 to 20 has its own page with a numbered-stroke numeral model, tracing row, blank writing row and two separately boxed counting sets.
- 4 count-and-match pages: Count the illustrated objects inside each box, then circle the matching numeral from three choices. Groups grow from smaller quantities to 20.
- 4 number-order pages: Fill the two missing numbers in each short stepping-stone sequence. Every row counts forwards by one.
- 4 more, fewer and equal pages: Compare two visible groups. Circle the group with more or fewer objects, or circle both boxes when the groups have the same number.
Clear counting boxes and numeral models
Every countable set sits inside a separate box. On dedicated number pages, the two boxes contain the same quantity and are counted separately. Review pages give a direct instruction for each row. Filled dots, stroke numbers and arrows guide the original monoline numeral models. The book focuses on numeral recognition, writing practice, counting, sequencing and comparison; formal addition and subtraction are outside its scope.
Exactly what is included?
Each edition has 40 pages: 32 activity pages, 4 answer pages and 4 support pages. The A4 and US Letter editions contain the same content. Two paper sizes do not mean twice as many activities.

How do I print the book?
Download and extract the ZIP. Choose the PDF matching your paper size, select Actual Size / 100%, one page per sheet, and print a test page. Single-sided printing is recommended and is required for cutting pages.
Can I repeat a page or print selected activities?
Yes. Choose individual pages in your PDF reader and reprint within the included household or own-classroom licence. There is no need to finish the whole book in one session.
Can I use it in my classroom?
The included licence covers one household OR one teacher’s own classroom. Digital-file sharing, shared-drive uploads, use by other teachers, school-wide licensing and resale are not included.
Are the PDFs editable, fillable or interactive?
No. These are finished, flat printable PDFs intended for paper use. A PDF reader and printer are needed; no AI subscription or design app is required.
Does my child need to read independently?
No. An adult can read the short instructions aloud, name pictures and demonstrate a task. Keep sessions optional and child-paced.
Does every number from 1 to 20 have its own page?
Yes. Pages 4–23 cover one number each, without missing or repeated number pages. Twelve review activities follow.
Which objects should my child count?
Count only the objects inside the particular labelled box. The two sets on each dedicated number page show the same quantity and should be counted separately.
Does the book include addition and subtraction?
No formal arithmetic is included. The focus is numbers 1–20, tracing, counting, number order and comparing quantities.
Are the numeral models guided?
Yes. The large monoline models show start dots, stroke numbers and direction arrows. A dotted row and a blank writing row follow.
