Digital Product Accessibility Checklist & Review Planner for Digital Product Creators | Instant Download
Instant download after payment · Secure checkout · Files are yours forever
This digital product accessibility checklist and review planner helps digital product creators and template sellers review the readability and first-use experience of their PDFs, documents and workbooks. Use the 18-page checklist and five-tab tracker to plan manual checks, record observed problems, log corrections and retest the corrected file version before your next release.
Start with one real buyer task, such as finding an input, following an instruction or locating a result. Keep checks you have performed separate from checks that still need to be run.
Review clearer layouts, labels and instructions
- Review text contrast, enlarged viewing, input labels and instructions.
- Check headings, link wording, worksheet names and the route to the first buyer task.
- Record manual keyboard and screen-reader spot checks in the actual application used.
- Plan PDF text, reading-order, image-description and form-field reviews.
- Keep original observations, corrections and version-specific retests connected.

Who this review planner is for
For PDF creators, printable makers, Canva template sellers and workbook businesses that want a repeatable way to review their digital downloads. Use it as an accessible PDF checklist for creators, an accessible template planner or a printable readability checklist within your own product workflow.
Follow one issue through a worked example
The completed example follows a fictional pricing-workbook review. One input-label correction passes its recorded retest, a contrast correction still needs work and a worksheet-name correction awaits retesting. The screen-reader check stays Not run. The sample pricing product is not included.
- Extract the ZIP and explore the completed example.
- Save the blank tracker for your own product and file version.
- Use the checklist to select relevant checks and perform them in your intended app.
- Record specific observations, link an issue to its source check and make a correction.
- Repeat the original task on the corrected version and keep remaining work visible.
Software and delivery
This is a digital download; no physical item is shipped. Use compatible spreadsheet software for XLSX and document software for DOCX. A local LibreOffice route is available. Google Sheets requires your own Google account and importing the supplied XLSX; setup instructions are included. No hosted Google Sheets template link is supplied. The PDFs are static print checklists and guides, not interactive fillable forms.
Frequently asked questions
How can I make my digital product easier to read and use?
Choose a first buyer task, review the labels and instructions needed for it, check readability and navigation, and record actual observations. Use the tracker to link an observed problem to a correction and its retest.
What should a digital product accessibility checklist cover?
This kit covers readable text, contrast, colour-independent labels, headings, links, worksheet structure, keyboard use, screen-reader spot checks, PDF reading order, image descriptions, forms and error recovery. Select checks relevant to your product and record any untested areas.
Is this an accessibility certification or an automatic scanner?
No. It is an improvement planner with documented manual tests. It does not inspect your files automatically, certify accessibility, provide a complete conformance assessment or guarantee legal compliance.
Can I use it to review PDFs, Canva exports and workbooks?
Yes. Review the actual files and setup instructions customers receive in their intended applications. For PDFs, distinguish a static print worksheet from an interactive form. The kit does not edit your product, repair PDF tags or change a Canva template automatically.
What if I have not performed a screen-reader check?
Leave that check as Not run. A visual inspection or automated checker result does not replace an actual screen-reader observation. The tracker keeps untested methods visible alongside recorded results.
When does a finding count as retested?
Fix Log requires a valid source observation, the corrected version, a matching retest version, a passing result, observed evidence, reviewer and app, and a date. Missing evidence or a different version keeps the finding open. A passing finding does not approve the whole product.
Does the tracker work in Excel and Google Sheets?
The workbooks are supplied as XLSX files for compatible spreadsheet software. Import them into Google Sheets using the included guide, then check the example outputs before adding your own records. Local and online copies do not synchronise automatically.
Can I use the toolkit for client projects?
One purchaser or business may use it internally for its own products and client projects, and share completed project records with the people involved. Reselling or redistributing the reusable source toolkit is not permitted. Read the included licence for details.
