Digital Product Conversion Experiment Planner

Plan one page improvement and record comparable observations. This digital product conversion tracker gives small creator shops with existing traffic a seven-tab workbook, a 12-page guide and a completed example for investigating a specific product-page question. Record the buyer problem, choose one change, compare matching observations and document your next decision.

What you receive: 11 customer files

  • Start Guide.pdf — four-page file map, tools, six setup steps and troubleshooting.
  • Blank Conversion Planner.xlsx — editable seven-tab planner with 20 daily slots in each observation log.
  • Completed Conversion Planner.xlsx — seven-tab worked workbook with 20 baseline and 20 test observations.
  • Google Sheets Setup.pdf — two-page XLSX import and comparison guide.
  • Experiment Guide.docx — 12-page editable guide.
  • Experiment Guide A4.pdf — 12-page A4 reading and print edition.
  • Experiment Guide US Letter.pdf — 12-page US Letter reading and print edition.
  • Worked Example.pdf — six-page contents-preview experiment walkthrough.
  • License.txt — own-business usage and source-sharing limits.
  • File Manifest.csv — complete 11-file inventory.
  • Support and Changelog.txt — file support scope and version notes.

The seven tabs are Baseline, Hypotheses, Priorities, Test Plan, Results, Notes and Decisions. Use one workbook per product and experiment. Each baseline and test period supports up to 20 consecutive daily records. Keep the blank source and make a working copy for each new question.

A worked example: test a clearer contents preview

The completed workbook replaces a vague preview with a labelled contents image for a fictional digital product. Its 20 baseline and 20 test rows record matching sessions and orders while keeping the recorded price, traffic source and tracking scope consistent. The walkthrough explains the calculations, context checks and written decision.

All example data is synthetic. The planner describes the entered periods; it does not prove the page change caused a difference, calculate statistical significance or guarantee a conversion improvement.

How to use the digital product conversion tracker

  1. Read the completed example and identify one product-page question.
  2. Write a hypothesis from actual buyer evidence and prioritise ideas when needed.
  3. Complete the test plan, including price, source, tracking scope, dates, guardrail and stopping rule.
  4. Record the daily baseline and check it against your source reports.
  5. Make your page change, record matching test observations and note disruptions.
  6. Review the comparison and save a decision with rationale, limits, owner and next action.

Use this product page test spreadsheet to calculate recorded orders divided by matching sessions. Zero-session rates stay unavailable. Context checks flag differences in recorded price, source, scope or dates, and comparison changes stay unavailable until planned daily coverage and the recorded checks are complete. The decision remains yours.

Tools, account requirements and limits

The editable sources are XLSX workbooks and a DOCX guide; PDFs provide reading and print editions. Local LibreOffice Calc recalculation and Writer rendering were checked. Google Sheets Setup.pdf explains importing your own XLSX copy, with an account and internet required for that web route. No hosted Google Sheet is included. Native Sheets, retail Excel and individual device workflows have not been verified; compare calculations, dates, dropdowns and formatting after conversion.

This digital shop conversion experiment planner is a manual record system. It does not install tracking, import analytics, publish page changes, split traffic or run experiments automatically. No paid add-on, macro, Canva template or Notion link is included or required by the supplied files.

Who it fits and when another tool fits better

Use this ecommerce conversion test log if your digital product already receives traffic and you want a clearer record of one proposed improvement and its observations. It suits solo creators and small shops reviewing previews, file clarity or first-task explanations.

Choose a traffic campaign planner if you need an acquisition schedule. Choose a dedicated experimentation platform if you need random assignment, live test execution or statistical analysis. This kit focuses on planning, arithmetic and a documented decision.

Questions before buying

Which files are included?

The ZIP contains 11 files: blank and completed seven-tab XLSX planners; a 12-page editable DOCX guide with A4 and US Letter PDF editions; a four-page Start Guide; two-page Google Sheets Setup guide; six-page Worked Example; licence, manifest and support notes. Both workbooks contain Baseline, Hypotheses, Priorities, Test Plan, Results, Notes and Decisions.

Can I edit the planner using free tools?

The supplied XLSX workbooks were opened and recalculated in local LibreOffice Calc, including an input-change check. The DOCX was opened and rendered in local LibreOffice Writer. A Google Sheets import guide is included; that route needs a Google account and internet. Native Sheets, retail Microsoft Excel and device-specific workflows have not been verified. Check formulas, dates and formatting in your chosen app.

How do I start with this digital product conversion tracker?

Read the completed example, add one evidence-based hypothesis to the blank workbook and complete Test Plan. Record matching daily baseline data, make your chosen page change yourself, then enter the test observations. Check context and write the decision, rationale, limits and next action. The Start Guide gives six setup steps.

Does the ZIP contain editable files or access links?

You receive editable XLSX and DOCX files plus PDF reading references. Google Sheets setup uses your own import of the XLSX; no hosted Sheet or customer-copy link is supplied. No Canva or Notion account or template link is needed. The files do not connect to your shop or analytics account.

Can I use my completed experiment records commercially?

One purchaser may adapt the planner for their own business and share completed reports internally for that business. You may not resell, redistribute or publicly share the source toolkit, or deliver its editable sources for other businesses. Read License.txt for contractor access and other limits.

What support and updates are included?

Support covers supplied-file issues and setup clarification. Contact the shop through waohhartz.com with the product title, order reference, filename, app/version and exact error or cell. Custom analytics, statistical consulting, account support and experiment implementation are outside scope. Version notes are supplied; no fixed response time or lifetime updates are promised.

Get the files and guide. Download the kit, read the worked example and plan one clear product-page improvement using your own evidence.
