Keep a clear record of the listing changes you want to test. This Etsy keyword tracker spreadsheet helps small Etsy sellers organize keyword hypotheses, save a listing baseline and compare observed results before deciding what to do next.

The seven-tab tracker includes a blank workbook and a completed example comparing two title approaches over comparable periods. Enter your own shop data manually and keep the source, dates and other events beside the figures. Instant digital download. No physical item is shipped.

What you receive: 8 files in one ZIP

  • Blank_Workbook.xlsx: your editable seven-tab tracker, with 100 prepared data rows per table.
  • Completed_Workbook.xlsx: the same seven tabs filled with a fictional meal-planner listing example.
  • START_HERE.pdf: a four-page quick start covering the file map, tools, six setup steps, first task and troubleshooting.
  • Google_Sheets_Setup.pdf: a three-page guide to importing your XLSX, checking the first result and keeping records consistent.
  • Worked_Example.pdf: a four-page explanation of the baseline, title change, weekly results, calculations and recorded decision.
  • LICENSE.txt, FILE_MANIFEST.csv and SUPPORT_AND_CHANGELOG.txt: usage rights, file map and help for the supplied files.

Seven tabs for one experiment record

  • Start: select a Test ID to view its comparison and next action.
  • Keyword Bank: record phrases, buyer intent, country, language, sources and hypotheses.
  • Search Notes: keep dated manual observations and the query or device context.
  • Listing Baseline: save the title, dates, metric source, traffic scope and starting figures.
  • Test Log: plan one change, record a hypothesis and check the schedule.
  • Weekly Results: enter non-overlapping result periods using the same metric definitions.
  • Decisions: review calculated observations and write your own decision, reason and next action.

An Etsy listing experiment tracker with a completed example

The example changes a fictional meal-planner title from a broad product name to wording that names its weekly use, PDF format and paper sizes. It compares a 14-day baseline with two seven-day result periods. Visits and search impressions remain blank where unavailable.

A social post differs between the periods, so the recorded decision is to extend the test. The example shows how to interpret a before-and-after record without treating it as proof that a title caused a change. All sample figures are illustrative.

How to use the files

  1. Download and extract the ZIP.
  2. Read the worked example and open the completed workbook.
  3. Open a working copy of the blank XLSX, or import it into Google Sheets.
  4. Record a keyword hypothesis, one listing baseline and one planned change.
  5. Enter weekly results with matching sources and non-overlapping dates.
  6. Review the comparison, write your decision and select the Test ID on Start.

Useful comparisons without mixing metrics

The workbook calculates listing views per day and orders per day from matching totals and recorded days. It flags incomplete inputs, negative counts, duplicate IDs, overlapping test schedules, overlapping result periods and mismatched sources, traffic scopes or currencies.

Missing metrics stay blank. Enter zero only when the source reports a real zero. Relative change remains blank when the baseline rate is zero. Views, visits, search impressions and orders have separate fields; the tracker does not substitute one measure for another.

Tools, accounts and limits

The editable files are XLSX workbooks. Use compatible desktop spreadsheet software; the supplied files have been recalculated in LibreOffice Calc. Google Sheets requires your own Google account and internet. The included setup guide explains the import route and the checks to run after conversion. Desktop editing is recommended. A PDF reader opens the guides.

This Etsy SEO spreadsheet is a manual recordkeeping tool. It does not connect to Etsy, fetch live keyword data, estimate search volume, publish listing changes or run a statistical A/B test. No macros, API or paid add-ons are required. No Canva or Notion template link is needed.

Who this tracker helps

For small Etsy shops that want to change one listing field at a time and keep a useful record of what happened. Use it as an Etsy keyword research organizer for your own hypotheses and observations, alongside data you can access. A keyword-data subscription or automated ranking monitor serves a different task.

Questions before buying

Which files are included?

You receive eight files: two editable seven-tab XLSX workbooks, a four-page quick start, a three-page Google Sheets setup guide, a four-page worked example, licence, file manifest and support note. One workbook is blank; the other contains fictional demonstration data.

Can I edit them using free tools?

Yes. LibreOffice Calc provides a free local editing option and was used to recalculate the supplied workbooks. A Google Sheets import workflow is also included and requires a Google account and internet. Check formulas, dates and dropdowns after import. Excel is optional and may be paid.

How do I start with the Etsy keyword tracker spreadsheet?

Open the completed example first. Then enter one phrase and hypothesis in your blank workbook, save a listing baseline and create a Test ID for one planned change. Add result periods as data becomes available and record your decision in Decisions.

Does the ZIP contain editable files or access links?

It contains two editable XLSX files and PDF instructions. To use Google Sheets, import a workbook into your own account. Delivery does not depend on a one-click template-copy link. No Canva or Notion workspace is included or required.

Can I use my completed work commercially?

Yes. Use the tracker for your own business and client projects under the included single-business licence. Share finished reports or findings with clients. Keep the editable source toolkit within your business; resale or redistribution of the source pack, including lightly modified versions, is not permitted.

What support and updates are included?

Contact WAOHHARTZ through our website for missing supplied files, damaged downloads or opening problems. Include the filename, device, app and a screenshot with private information removed. Shop management, live keyword research and custom analysis are separate work. No lifetime updates, rankings, traffic or sales results are promised.

Get the files and guide, then record your next listing change with a clear baseline and an honest result.
