A freelancer onboarding example

The example uses Clients, Projects, Tasks and Resources. An actual private Notion source was built with a fictional client, portfolio project, homepage-outline task and brief. Its relation values and reverse links were read back, and each database has an unfiltered All records table.

The worked document explains the welcome message, six setup steps, sample cleanup and first connected task. It includes data excerpts from those records, rather than simulated Notion screenshots. Source checks establish the example structure; they do not establish fresh-account duplication or permissions. The private example workspace and its customer duplication link are not included as another product.

Tools, account requirements and limits

Use a ZIP extractor, PDF reader and compatible DOCX editor. The guide has been rendered and checked in LibreOffice. Native Google Docs layout has not been checked. Canva editing requires your own account, desktop browser and internet; import can change fonts, spacing or table wrapping.

The card source uses original text and tables without paid stock assets. A clean Canva Free copy/edit/export test remains unverified. You also need to test your own Notion product’s plan requirements and permissions before stating compatibility. The guide PDFs are text-selectable references, not fillable forms.

Can I edit them using free tools?

The DOCX has been rendered and checked in LibreOffice. You can import the supplied PPTX into your own Canva account or open it in a compatible presentation editor, with possible rendering changes. The cards use original text and tables, but a clean Canva Free customer-copy and watermark-free export test has not been completed. Native Google Docs layout is also unverified.
