How do you turn “responsible for” into a clear account of what you actually did? This resume bullet points examples bank gives you 600 original fictional bullets across 30 roles, plus 220 action verbs, weak-to-strong rewrites and summary and skills examples. Find a task that resembles your work, use its structure and replace every detail with facts you can support.

Whether you are writing your first resume, changing careers or updating years of experience, the bank gives you concrete patterns for actions, context, scope and results. It includes bullets with measured changes and bullets that work without numbers. All sample achievements and numbers are fictional.

Why You'll Love It

  • 20 examples for each of 30 roles: browse a role page instead of starting from an empty experience section.
  • 220 distinct action verbs in ten groups: find a precise word for analysis, communication, planning, delivery, design, support, improvement, leadership, commercial work or controls.
  • Results without made-up percentages: see how to describe an output, a resolved issue or a useful purpose when you do not have a measured improvement.
  • Eight weak-to-strong rewrites: follow the move from vague duties or exaggerated claims to specific, supportable wording.
  • Summary and skills examples included: connect the top of your resume to the experience you can explain.
  • Copy-friendly formats: read the searchable PDF, edit the Word file or copy from plain TXT. The same examples appear in all three.

  • Career changers translating earlier tasks into relevant evidence.

Five Free Sample Bullets

These are fictional illustrations, including every number. Use the patterns and replace the facts; they are not claims about you.

  • Checked shelf labels against the price file and flagged discrepancies before the weekend promotion.
  • Investigated a recurring application error using logs and documented the conditions that reproduced it.
  • Cut recurring report preparation from three hours to 45 minutes by automating an approved data-cleaning step.
  • Checked 150 item records in a coursework dataset and documented missing descriptions for the group report.
  • Restructured a long article so readers could find the main answer before the supporting detail.

The fuller bank includes examples of supported measured change, task scope and useful contributions without numbers. Choose the pattern that matches your own evidence.

How It Works

  1. Download the customer ZIP and extract its folder.
  2. Find your role or a similar task in PDF, Word or TXT.
  3. Rewrite with your own action, context and supported result or purpose. Add a metric only when you can verify it.
  4. Check and apply: run the Fact Check Checklist, paste approved wording into your resume and review the finished document.

The Action–Result–Metric Pattern

The guide uses action + context + supported result or purpose + metric when available. A metric is optional. Start by recording what you personally did, the task or tool, what was delivered or intended and the evidence you have. Keep your contribution separate from a team result. Stronger wording should make the truth clearer.

ATS Wording, Explained Honestly

This is a writing companion. It does not test an applicant tracking system or assign a score. Relevant vacancy terms can help explain experience when they are true, but copying keywords cannot create a qualification or skill. Check the structure and reading order of your finished resume separately, and follow the employer’s submission instructions. No interview or job is promised.

Digital Use & Software

  • Digital download only; nothing is shipped.
  • PDF, DOCX and TXT. The bank uses the same page order in its supplied PDF and unedited Word file; editing can change pagination.
  • Open DOCX in Word or upload it to your own Google Drive for Google Docs. Hosted make-a-copy links are not included in this edition.
  • Use a suitable PDF reader or plain-text editor for the other copies. Desktop Word may require a licence.
  • No Canva access is included or required. This is a bank of writing examples, not a resume layout pack.
  • All examples and numbers are fictional. Do not copy credentials, licensed duties, tools or authority that you do not hold.
  • Personal-use licence for your own applications. Please do not share, resell or redistribute the files.

Questions, Answered

What are good resume bullet points?

A useful bullet identifies your own action, gives relevant context and describes a supported result or purpose. It should help a reader understand what you actually did. The bank includes 20 fictional examples for each of 30 roles, showing specific tasks, scope and measured changes. Replace every sample fact with evidence from your own work.

How do I quantify achievements on a resume?

Use records you are permitted to use to check a count, workload, frequency or measured change. For a before-and-after claim, confirm both values, the period and your contribution. A workload count describes scope; it is not automatically an improvement. All numbers in this bank are invented illustrations and must never be copied as your results.

What are strong action verbs for a resume?

Useful verbs accurately describe your action: checked, analysed, built, explained, coordinated or reconciled, for example. The included list has 220 distinct verbs in ten categories. Choose a word that fits your actual responsibility. Supported or assisted may be more accurate than led; authority-specific words such as certified require the corresponding real responsibility.

How many bullet points should each job have?

Select enough relevant points to explain your contribution without repeating the same task. The 20 examples per role are alternatives to learn from, not a recommended number to paste under one job. Give more space to recent, relevant experience and check the employer’s instructions and the length of your finished resume.

How do I write bullet points with no numbers?

Describe your action, context and supported purpose or output. For example, you might explain what you checked, what you created or how you recorded a handover. The bank includes many examples without metrics. Do not turn time, money or improved into an invented percentage simply to make a bullet sound stronger.

Are these examples real achievements?

No. All 600 examples, all numbers, the eight rewrites and the summary and skills examples are original fictional illustrations. Every role page repeats that notice. Use a sentence pattern to express your own evidence; do not copy a fictional workload, outcome, qualification, tool or responsibility into your application.

Can freshers use the bank without paid experience?

Yes. Student and graduate projects have a dedicated page with 20 examples, and the guide explains how to describe genuine coursework, placements, volunteering or projects. Keep each activity accurately labelled. A coursework dataset must stay coursework; it must not become an invented job or employer achievement.

What if my exact job title is not included?

Choose a task pattern from a related role, such as checking records, coordinating actions, explaining information or documenting an issue. Start with your own facts and replace the sample context completely. The bank covers 30 named roles; it does not claim to provide a specialist example for every occupation or level.

Does it include resume summary and skills examples?

Yes. There are six fictional professional summaries and six skills examples for retail, nursing, software, marketing, finance and freshers. Each skills example has an evidence note. Adapt only the structure and keep your actual status, tools, qualifications and scope accurate. Do not infer years of experience or seniority from a sample.

What files do I receive?

One customer ZIP contains six files: the 37-page bank in PDF and editable Word DOCX, the full TXT copy, an eight-page Access Guide PDF, a one-page Fact Check Checklist PDF and Start Here instructions. The same 600 role bullets and 220 verbs appear in all three bank formats. Editing the DOCX can change pagination.

Does it work in Google Docs?

Yes. Upload the DOCX to your own Google Drive and open it with Google Docs, then save your own copy and check the layout. Hosted Google Docs make-a-copy links are not included in this edition. The PDF is searchable and the TXT copy provides a simple alternative when copying from PDF changes line breaks.

Does it include a Canva or resume template?

This product supplies writing examples and reference guidance. It does not include a Canva template or an editable resume layout, and no Canva access is required. Copy wording you have rewritten and checked into your own resume document. The related ATS Resume Template Pack is a separate option if you also need document layouts.

Will these words help me pass an ATS?

No word bank can promise an ATS result. Use relevant vacancy wording naturally when your experience supports it, and keep the finished application readable. This pack does not test an employer’s system, provide an ATS score or guarantee an interview. It helps you describe your own contribution with clearer, more specific wording.

Is this a physical product, and can I share it?

It is a digital download; nothing is shipped. The personal-use licence covers your own job applications. Please do not share, resell or redistribute the bank or its files. You can adapt the example structures into truthful wording for your own resume. For access questions, contact waohhartz@gmail.com.
