🦄 Follow Willow and Fenn into a little paper-garden adventure.

This printable unicorn activity book for ages 4–7 combines mazes, picture patterns, counting, observation and gentle logic puzzles with colouring and drawing. The Unicorn & Fairy Puzzle Activity Book contains 28 activity pages in seven sections. Willow the unicorn and Fenn the fairy lead a small imaginary story trail towards a garden, pond, meadow and castle.

Choose one short puzzle for a quiet moment or follow the trail over several sessions. Separate A4 and US Letter PDF editions match common home-printing paper sizes. Both books contain the same activities, with white backgrounds and black line art for low-ink printing. Adult help is welcome for reading instructions, naming pictures and trying a first step.

📥 Instant Download — digital product only. Your customer ZIP includes the two complete PDF books, a START-HERE guide and a use licence. No physical book, stationery or editable template is supplied.

What is inside this unicorn and fairy activity book?

  • Magical mazes: Follow four imaginary routes with clear start and finish openings. The grids move from 5 × 5 to 6 × 6, and the answer pages show the complete routes.
  • Pattern spells: Use an explicitly boxed picture block as the repeat rule, then draw or name the next two pictures. These are pretend picture spells with stars, flowers, hearts and moons.
  • Count and match: Count stars, flowers and hearts inside separated boxes, then circle the matching total from three choices. Quantities range from 1 to 20.
  • Hidden objects: Find six checklist pictures on each uncluttered garden grid. The targets are a star, flower, heart, moon, wand and key, with coordinate references for the answers.
  • Spot the difference: Compare four pairs of original fantasy scenes and find exactly three changed pictures in each pair.
  • Picture logic: Complete two 3 × 3 symbol grids using one star, flower and heart in every row and column. Each has one solution under that rule. Two further pages ask children to match three-picture cards in the same left-to-right order.
  • Create and colour: Invent a friendly garden creature, draw a garden for the characters, finish their story and colour an original fantasy scene.

Exactly what files and pages are included?

Each edition has 36 pages: 28 activity pages + 4 answer pages + 4 support pages. The support pages are the cover, adult guide, story-trail contents and optional keepsake. A4 and US Letter are two layouts of the same book, rather than 72 different activity pages.

  • Book_US-Letter.pdf: the complete 36-page book at 8.5 × 11 inches.

Who are these printable unicorn activities for?

  • Parents and caregivers seeking fantasy-themed paper activities for a child who enjoys unicorns, fairies and imaginary gardens.
  • Home-learning families wanting a varied mix of counting, matching, patterns, observation and imaginative drawing.
  • Teachers selecting printable puzzles for children in their own classroom.

The intended age range is 4–7, with adult help as needed. Age is guidance, not an assessment of what a child should be able to do. A grown-up can read the instructions, name pictures, demonstrate a pattern and help apply both the row and column rules on a logic grid. Children can choose a comfortable starting point and take breaks.

This fairy activity book PDF is a puzzle and creative resource, with no timed tests, scores or guaranteed learning outcomes. Creature designs, gardens, story endings and colours allow many valid responses. The original characters and pretend magic belong to an imaginary story world.

How to download and print your unicorn puzzles

  1. Download the customer ZIP.
  2. Extract it before opening the individual files.
  3. Choose the A4 or US Letter PDF to match your paper.

Single-sided printing is convenient for individual worksheets. You can print a small selection or repeat a favourite within the licence. Activity pages are 4–31, with answers grouped at the end for grown-ups.

You need a PDF reader, printer, paper, pencil and optional crayons. No scissors, glue, paid design app or AI subscription is needed. The files are finished printable PDFs for paper use.

Frequently asked questions

What age is the Unicorn & Fairy activity book for?

It is intended for ages 4–7, with adult help as needed. Review the previews and choose a comfortable starting page. A grown-up can read instructions and picture names aloud.

Is this just a unicorn colouring book?

No. The book includes mazes, repeating patterns, counting, hidden pictures, spot-the-difference scenes, symbol grids and picture-card matching, alongside four creative drawing and colouring pages.

How many activity pages and total pages are included?

Each edition contains 28 activity pages, 4 answer pages and 4 support pages: 36 pages in total. Both paper sizes contain the same activities.

What files will I receive?

One ZIP containing Book_A4.pdf, Book_US-Letter.pdf, START-HERE.pdf and Licence.txt. No physical book, editable Canva template, Word file or stationery is included.

Are Willow and Fenn licensed characters?

No. Willow the unicorn and Fenn the fairy are original character designs made for this book. The pages do not use licensed cartoon characters or brand logos.

Can a child who does not read independently use it?

Yes, with a grown-up. The tasks use picture-led instructions, and an adult can read the words, explain a first example and help with the logic-grid rule.

How do the picture-logic grids work?

Each 3 × 3 grid needs one star, flower and heart in every row AND every column. The symbol bank is printed above the grid. Each of the two puzzles has one solution under that rule, shown on page 35.

Are all puzzle answers included?

Yes. Pages 32–35 include all four maze routes, pattern continuations, counting totals, hidden-picture coordinates, difference locations, completed logic grids and card-matching answers. Creative responses are not scored.

How do I print the unicorn and fairy worksheets?

Extract the ZIP, open the PDF that matches your loaded paper and print at Actual Size / 100%, one page per sheet. Check a test page first. Single-sided printing makes it easy to use separate activity sheets.

Can I reprint pages or use them in my classroom?

Yes, within the licence for one household OR one teacher’s own classroom. File sharing, shared-drive uploads, school-wide use, redistribution and resale are not included.

Do I need special supplies, AI or a paid app?

You need a PDF reader, printer, paper, a pencil and optional crayons. No cutting, glue, AI subscription or paid design app is required.

Are the PDF pages editable, fillable or interactive?

No. These are flat printable PDFs for paper use. Editable source files, fillable fields and interactive tablet activities are not included.
